AFLAC recently held an event at the Club and Drew Bird Photography was on hand to capture some stunning images over the course of the day.

The Club possesses endless possibilities for all types of events, in this case, a Corporate event.

Julia Morgan was certainly talented at designing spaces to flow together effortlessly.

The group had their main meeting in the Ballroom with attendees happy and engaged throughout the day.

Lunch was done buffet-style in the neighboring spaces of the Venetian Room and Terrace.

The day concluded with more smiles and cocktails on the Terrace.

A night at a museum

Beyond our beautiful exterior facade and sturdy concrete is a majestic piece of architecture standing strong for 85 years.

Did you know that you can step into a beautiful piece of history and spend a night here?

Yes.  Yes you can!

Floors one and two are public spaces, used primarily for events (and taking in the beauty), but floors three through six were originally residences for women of the Berkeley Women’s City Club and turned into 35 hotel rooms for you to enjoy.

Upon a relaxing night of slumber in our cozy beds, walk down to Julia’s, for a satisfying and complimentary continental breakfast, served daily from 7am – 10am.

Water Conservation: Part Two

Welcome to the second part of our series in water conservation.

Next up, Landscaping.  We have beautiful grounds and Courtyards to enjoy.

Our talented Gardener, Darnell, putting his beautiful touches on the West Courtyard.

Since many of our plants are mature with deep roots they can handle receiving less water.

Thick layers of mulch have been added to the gardens, to hold in moisture, and use less water.

Where possible, some plants have been fitted with their own drip irrigation at the base so that no water is wasted.

The length and frequency of watering has been reduced as well.
We also take advantage of many shady areas, thus allowing us to water less.

We hope you enjoyed peeking at our Courtyards and hearing about what we are doing to conserve water.
