Courtyard beauty

If you find yourself at the Club looking for quiet moment, step away into one of our Courtyards.

Here is a peek into the West Courtyard.  It is located off of the Drawing Room and is also visible as you climb the staircase to the Second floor.  It is pretty magical.

We just love the flagstone and lush greenery.

Next up is the East Courtyard.  It is easily visible from the main hallway and probably one of the most visited.

Chairs and a quiet bench perfectly invite a moment to yourself.

The last Courtyard is the North.  It is all the way at the end of the main hallway, just after you pass the Pool Locker Room. Tucked away, it is usually the most quiet.

We hope you enjoyed this little roundup.  Take a little time to explore them the next time you are at the Club.

Love for the BCC

Travelers far and wide are singing our praises and we are delighted to share about it.

Julia Morgan’s Berkeley City Club

If you love all things Berkeley City Club, we have some exciting news to share.

BCC Member, Dr. Sarah Gill, has written a book about our history and it features beautiful images by Club photographer, Trevor Johnson.

Dr. Sarah Gill, Author

The book is over 200 pages beginning with the early women’s movement and planned construction of the building, to the architecture and spaces and then sharing about the Club through its decades of existence in Berkeley.  A bright future awaits the Club for many years to come and this is a truly special book to savor our treasured past.

Copies are available for purchase at the Club’s Front Desk for $45/each, with payment available via cash or check.  The author has generously chosen to split the royalties of the book, with $10 from each going to the Berkeley City Club Conservancy to aid in the preservation of our building.

Consider purchasing one for yourself or give one as a gift this upcoming holiday season.

Feel free to contact our Team to purchase at 510.848.7800 or info@berkeleycityclub.com.
